Here Come the Netbooks

There’s no question that laptops have revolutionized the business world. And, just like everything else in the world of technology, they’ve been getting progressively smaller for years. Now, there is a growing class of laptop on the market that may be the best thing for students and business people that don’t need a whole lot of computer in their bags. I’m talking about the netbook.

Netbook computers are barebones laptops that are normally about the size of a trade paperback book. They normally have 9 or 10-inch screens, smaller keyboards, less memory, and slower processors. Their hard drives are normally much smaller, but are flash memory, which has no moving parts. This means they can take more physical abuse than the normal laptop. And they are usually priced in the $500 or less range. The low price and high durability make them almost ideal for those that need a basic computer with Internet capabilities. Test out this new Netbook at a laptop rental agency.
