Audio Visual Equipment Doesn't Fly

A motivational speaker from Toronto, Ontario is getting ready for a presentation that he is to give in Washington, DC. He packs his suitcases, goes to the airport and is not allowed on the plane. Why is he not allowed? His bags are overweight because his speakers, microphone, and other audio visual equipment weighs too much. Airlines today are very strict with weight and contents of your luggage. When a speaker travels to host an event, they are much better off renting audio visual equipment, instead of bringing their own. If they have a favourite microphone that they always use, then that is a different story and can be taken. Otherwise, audio visual equipment is best rented then brought from home.
