- Ensure you study the culture. China places a lot of importance on culture and manners. The last thing you want to do is insult someone without realizing it.
- Research what websites can and cannot be viewed while in China. If you want to show clients or partners a particular website as an example, you want to make sure that they will actually have access to it. If not, save screen shots of it in your home country to show while in China. The reason this is important, is that some sites are blocked by the government.
- Book your China computer rentals (computers, laptops, audio visual equipment, etc) ahead of time. You wan to ensure that the company you use is reputable and that the equipment is delivered on time. First impressions are everything.
- Read books ahead of time that recommend places to eat. In China, they eat a lot of rather unique food items. You want to make sure you know what you are eating.

Tips to Consider Before Renting a Server
Companies, especially smaller ones just starting up, need to have servers in order to link their computers and hook up to the internet. One of the solutions to this is to rent a server. There are a few things to look out for when renting a server.
1. Does it come with virus protection? It is very important that you find out, because if it does not come with virus protection, then you better purchase some. Companies could come back to you after if the server has been infected with viruses because of a lack of virus protection.
2. Will it work with your computers? Some servers are unique to Mac computers and do not provide access to PCs. Ensure to speak with the company you are renting the server from to ensure it will work with the computers that you will be hooking up to the server.
3. Is the server clean before you receive it? You want to ensure that the server has been electronically cleaned of past files, viruses, etc before you start hooking up your computers to it. The last thing you want is a virus on the server to start transferring all of your company's confidential files to a third party.

Preplan Equipment Rentals in LA
Los Angeles is a place where all the stars and celebrities live, and the wannabe celebrities serve in restaurants awaiting a golden opportunity. This also makes it a great place to conduct business. Some companies will send business people to LA for short term projects. If this is the case, then depending on the nature of the business, technical equipment needs to be made available. If all they need is a laptop, that is no big deal they can probably just bring one with them from the office. However, when it gets into the printers, audio visual equipment, etc it doesn't travel too well. Therefore, some of these traveling business people need to find a LA rental source to use equipment short term. In the long run, this could save them time, money, and hassle especially if they pre-plan the requirement to rent equipment while spending time in LA.

Audio Visual Equipment Doesn't Fly
A motivational speaker from Toronto, Ontario is getting ready for a presentation that he is to give in Washington, DC. He packs his suitcases, goes to the airport and is not allowed on the plane. Why is he not allowed? His bags are overweight because his speakers, microphone, and other audio visual equipment weighs too much. Airlines today are very strict with weight and contents of your luggage. When a speaker travels to host an event, they are much better off renting audio visual equipment, instead of bringing their own. If they have a favourite microphone that they always use, then that is a different story and can be taken. Otherwise, audio visual equipment is best rented then brought from home.

Be Green with Printer Rentals at Events
At the current time, there are many Baby Boomers working in companies with individuals who are part of Generations X and Y. When all of these people attend a trade show, conference, or some other sort of corporate event, there is always the question of how to present them with information. Most of the Baby Boomers would still prefer printed material, but the Generations X and Y prefer an electronic copy of a presentation.
However, within each of these groups there are personal preferences of how the individual likes to have information presented. The solution to this, is to rent printers for the event. Then the individual can choose to print the presentation off to have a hard copy, or they can just use their laptops to follow along. This is a more environmentally friendly and economical option.
Printing hundreds of copies of a presentation and then throwing out half of them because they were unused is not a "green" practice and is also a waste of money. By renting printers it is up to the individual, and there will be less waste at the end of the day.

Plasma Screens Show Your Product Best
Trade shows are all about first impressions. It is essential that your booth looks great and eye catching. Some companies showcase their products by posters, and others by fliers on the table. However, with the advancements of technology, it is now best to show a visual representation of your products by video. It is important that the screen you show it on at the trade show is not from the late 1980s. Instead, it is best to rent a plasma screen with crystal clear display. This way the product can be shown at its best, and the customers will enjoy the video clip.

Baby Boomers Want Monitor Rentals Abroad
Many companies send their employees to different cities and countries to conduct business. I know of some people who have had to stay abroad for months at a time. With the baby boomers aging, it becomes increasingly difficult for them to see their laptop screens. As a result, some of them are asking their companies to provide them with an exterior monitor so that they can see. For situations like this, monitor rentals are a great idea. The monitor rental is shipped to the location where the person is conducting their business. Monitor rentals can also prove to be useful for a business person who has multiple office locations. Instead of the company purchasing 2 computers, they can just opt for a monitor rental at each location, and then purchase or rent a laptop for the business person to use between the two monitors.

Who Would Rent Desktop Computers?
Many people wonder why anyone would rent desktop computers. Truth is, many schools and companies have been doing it for years! Especially with technology today, it makes sense for schools and companies to be renting desktop computers instead of purchasing them. There are constantly new improvements to computers. Therefore, renting a computer will allow you to "trade it in" whenever your rental term is up, for the newest model of desktop computer. This is certainly less expensive then purchasing a new computer every couple of months or years.

Get the Right Projector For Your Presentations
When hosting a corporate event one of the main contributing components is usually some sort of presentation. It is important that you have a reliable LCD projector. The last thing you want is to be in the middle of presenting a keynote speech and the projector to stop working or make the picture go fuzzy. Ensure that you talk to a knowledgeable sales professional so that they can discuss with you the type of projector that will work best based on logistics of your presentation. Factors that contribute to this include: the size of the room, placement of the projector, the size of the screen, resolution, and much more.

The Heated Debate of Mac vs. PC Laptop Rentals
You are getting ready for an important corporate event and need to decided upon renting Mac or PC laptops. Which do you choose? This has always been a heated debate. On one hand, you have the Mac that is "hip" and offers lots of applications. However, the PC on the other hand is a staple company that is more commonly used. It really depends on the clientele that you are renting the laptops for. If they are young, hip, fast learners, then a Mac laptop is recommended. If your clientele is an older generation who has always grown up with a PC and feels more comfortable with it, then go with a PC laptop rental.
